Day 1: Copenhagen
Start your Scandinavian experience in beautiful Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark, the southern-most country in your Scandinavian holiday. Sink in to the charms of Copenhagen today, by heading to the cafes along the famous Nyhavn Canal. Copenhagen also has some of the best Michelin-starred restaurants in the world, so indulge your culinary fantasies too. Overnight at Copenhagen. Day 2: Copenhagen Spend the first half of the day on a tour of Copenhagen that takes you on a coach tour to all of the city’s highlights such as the Amalienborg Palace and also on a scenic canal cruise through Copenhagen’s bustling harbour area. Spend the latter half of the day at the Tivoli Gardens, Copenhagen’s most famous attraction, which dates back to 1843. Visitors here can enjoy romantic strolls through beautiful flower gardens amidst a story-book atmosphere, attend free outdoor concerts and street performances in the evening, even ride some old-style roller coaster rides, see fireworks displays at night and also dine at some good restaurants. Overnight at Copenhagen. Day 3: Copenhagen – Stockholm Take a direct train today to Stockholm, Sweden’s charming capital, with glittering waterways and a beautiful old city centre, known as Gamla Stan. Spend the day at leisure, exploring the city on your own. In the late evening, you can take an optional guided walking tour of the picturesque Gamla Stan, with an entertaining Ghost and History theme built in. Overnight at Stockholm. Day 4: Stockholm Spend the day exploring Stockholm’s beautiful sights such as the City Hall, the Royal Palace, the famous Vasa Museum and much more on a flexible hop-on hop-off tour. Also, take a 2 hour scenic cruise that takes you through the city’s charming waterways and passes under the many bridges that connect the Stockholm Archipelago’s central islands. Overnight at Stockholm. Day 5: Stockholm – Oslo Take a direct train to Oslo, arriving in the afternoon and check into your hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure in Oslo, exploring the city on your own. Overnight at Oslo. Day 6: Oslo – Bergen Today you will proceed by one of Europe’s most scenic train journeys to the picture-perfect coastal city of Bergen. In the evening, explore the picturesque waterfront area of Bryggen that is dotted with colourful houses. Overnight at Bergen. Day 7: Bergen Spend the day on one of the most memorable journeys in Norway, which is known as Norway in a Nutshell. The first leg of this journey includes an awe-inspiring mountain train journey to Flam. The second leg involves taking a cruise along one of Norway’s most panoramic fjords, Naeroyfjord. Finally, a combination of bus & train rides will bring you back to Bergen. Overnight at Bergen. Day 8: Bergen – Aalesund Spend the morning in Bergen. Later in the afternoon, take a flight to another pretty town along Norway’s coast, Aalesund. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at Aalesund. Day 9: Aalesund Spend the day on a stunning tour to Norway’s most beautiful fjord, Geirangerfjord. The tour includes one of the most beautiful ferry journeys in the world and later takes you back via the steep Ornesvigen route. While at Geiranger, you can also visit panoramic observation points like Flydalsjuvet. Overnight at Aalesund. Day 10: Aalesund – Oslo Head back to Oslo for the final day of your Scandinavian holiday. Once in Oslo, spend the rest of the day at leisure or to catch up on any last minute shopping in this stylish capital city. Overnight at Oslo. Day 11: Oslo – India |
