Day 1:
Cape Town
Start your trip in Cape Town, spending the day at leisure, enjoying what is arguably one of the most beautifully located cities in the world. Overnight at Cape Town. Day 2: Cape Town
Embark on the full day guided Cape Peninsula Tour. Travel via the ocean-hugging Chapman’s Peak Road to reach the Cape of Good Hope, where you can enjoy panoramic ocean vistas. On the way back, visit the cute Penguin colony at Boulder’s Beach. Overnight at Cape Town. Day 3: Cape Town
Set off on a Hop-on Hop-off tour early morning. For your first stop, hop-off at the Table Mountain cable car for some awe-inspiring views. Later, spend some time at the stunningly beautiful Camps Bay beach and see other parts of the city, including the historic District Six. End at the V&A waterfront, with time for a bit of shopping and eating out. Overnight at Cape Town. Day 4: Cape Town – Hermanus
Start your road-trip today with a drive to the beautiful coastal town of Hermanus. Spend the rest of the day exploring the town, including its nice beaches and cliff walks. If you are lucky, you may also get to see whales that swim close to the shore, as Hermanus is considered the best place to spot whales from land itself. Overnight in Hermanus. Day 5: Hermanus
Today you will go on the thrilling unique experience of Shark Cage Diving. Enjoy the anticipation as the dangerous sharks are lured to your boat. Experience the thrill of coming face to face under water to these ferocious and deadly carnivores of the sea. Overnight in Hermanus. Day 6: Hermanus – Franschoek
Today drive to Franschoek, initially passing through the scenic ocean-hugging Clarence highway and then entering the hilly wine region near Franschoek. Settle in to enjoy the great food and wine of this picturesque wine region. Overnight in Franschoek. Day 7: Franschoek
Head to the various good wineries in Stellenbosch and Franschoek. Also enjoy the great food in this region at top-rated restaurants, where the views to the vineyards add to the sensory delights. Overnight in Franschoek. Day 8: Franschoek – Knysna
Today will be a long drive to Knysna via the Route 62. The route goes through the lush wine region initially and then gets more arid as you approach Oudtshoorn, which is famous for its many ostrich farms where you can stop by for a while. Later, reach Knysna, which will be your base to explore the rest of the Garden Route. Overnight at Knysna. Day 9: Knysna
There are great adventure sports options along the Garden Route such as: 1. Bloukrans Bridge for the world’s highest bungy jump 2. Waterfall & canopy ziplining at the lush green Tsitsikamma Reserve 3. Stunning paragliding at Wilderness Beach and, 4. Sky-diving at Plettenberg. Take your pick for an adrenalin rush! Overnight at Knysna. Day 10: Knysna – Pilanesberg
Board your flight to Johannesburg and transfer onwards to the awe-inspiring Pilanesberg Game Reserve. Check in to your Lodge and relax for the day, with the thrilling anticipation of witnessing Africa’s legendary wildlife tomorrow. Overnight at Pilanesberg National Park. Day 11: Pilanesberg
Pilansberg is one of the largest reserves in South Africa and makes a great combination with a Cape Town and Garden route holiday to experience the best of African wildlife.
