Explore the dramatic Isle of Skye in Scotland as well as the many picturesque lakes and castles that dot the countryside. In Ireland, head out of Dublin by self-drive and explore awe-inspiring sights such as the Cliffs of Moher, the Ring of Kerry and the Dingle Peninsula. Customise the itinerary to suit your preferences: tweak the city-countryside balance, add more leisure time or more places to explore or choose to do only parts of the itinerary such as only Ireland or only Great Britain and so on. Itinerary
Day 1: London
Arrive and check-in to your hotel in London, with the rest of the day at leisure to explore the city. Later, hit the lively pubs, nightclubs, West End theatres and other live performances. Overnight at London. Day 2: London Spend the day on a sightseeing or hop-on hop-off tour to tick off London’s iconic landmarks such as the Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, Tower Bridge, Trafalgar Square and so on. You also have the option to take an interesting day trip to Oxford and surrounding areas. Overnight at London. Day 3: London – Edinburgh Take an early morning low-cost flight to Edinburgh and spend the rest of the day exploring its historic architecture, imposing castle and medieval old town. Hit the pubs and inns at night for a lively night out or possibly indulge in a haunted tour! Overnight at Edinburgh. Day 4: Edinburgh Embark on a guided day tour of the West Highlands, visiting several famous castles and picturesque lakes such as the idyllic Loch Lomond and Loch Awe. The castes range from the imposing Stirling Castle to the ruins of Kilchurn & Doune Castle, all having a backdrop of awesome highland scenery. Overnight at Edinburgh. Day 5: Edinburgh – Inverness You can reach Inverness either by train or driving on your own. Take route 82 for a classic road-trip through one of Scotland's most breath-taking valleys, Glen Coe and then to Scotland's most famous lake, Loch Ness. Stop all along the way to soak in the beauty of the highlands. Overnight at Inverness. Day 6: Inverness – Isle of Skye – Inverness Spend the entire day on a guided tour to Scotland’s most beautiful island, the Isle of Skye, which has some of Scotland's most immersive highland and coastal scenery. Overnight at Inverness. Day 7: Inverness Spend the day at leisure, enjoying a lake cruise or guided tour along Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle. Or you can take a full day tour to the Orkney Islands. Another option is to visit one of the famous distilleries such as Glen Morangie. Overnight at Inverness. Day 8: Inverness – Dublin Take a morning flight to Dublin and spend the rest of day at leisure, exploring the Irish capital. Hit the world famous pub scene and sample Guinness in its hometown. Overnight at Dublin. Day 9: Dublin Spend another day exploring the city on a hop-on hop-off tour. Alternatively, take a day tour of the Wicklow region’s untamed landscapes. Overnight at Dublin. Day 10: Dublin – Galway Collect your self-drive car rental and head to Galway. With the flexibility of having your own car, you can also drive through the stunning and brooding Connemara peninsula, before reaching Galway. Enjoy Galway’s lively music-filled pubs at night. Overnight at Galway. Day 11: Galway – Cliffs of Moher – Galway Embark on a day tour to the awe-inspiring Cliffs of Moher. One of the highlights of Ireland, these cliffs are more than 700 feet high at their highest and stretch for more than 8km. Overnight at Galway. Day 12: Galway – Killarney Drive down to the pretty town of Killarney, which will form the base for exploring some more of Ireland’s iconic coastal landscapes over the next couple of days. Overnight at Killarney. Day 13: Killarney – Ring of Kerry – Killarney Take a day trip through the stunning ‘Ring of Kerry’ – a beautiful peninsula near Killarney which has some of the most beautiful classic views of Ireland’s coast. Overnight at Killarney. Day 14: Killarney – Dingle Peninsula – Killarney Today, you get to experience another beautiful part of this region, the Dingle Peninsula. Enjoy the stunning coastal beauty, including the ocean views from Slea Head. Overnight at Killarney. Day 15: Killarney – Cork – London Drive down in the morning to the nearby city of Cork, for your short flight to London in the afternoon. Back in London, spend your last day catching up on any leftover sightseeing or last-minute shopping. Overnight at London. Day 16: London - India |
