Itinerary
Day 1: Geneva – Lausanne
Arrive in Geneva today and transfer onwards to nearby Lausanne. Spend the rest of the day at leisure in Lausanne, located on the shores of the grand Lake Geneva and home to great luxury accommodation. Overnight at Lausanne. Day 2: Lausanne Take a lake cruise today or explore the nearby towns of Montreux and Vevey located along Lake Geneva. From Montreux you can also access the stunning Glacier 3000, one of the top peak destinations in Switzerland. You can also head to the famed Lavaux wine region, with its idyllic rolling vineyards located along the shores of Lake Geneva. Overnight at Lausanne. Day 3: Lausanne – Chamonix Travel by train to Chamonix, France’s premier Alpine destination and home to the highest mountain in the European Alps i.e. Mont Blanc. Chamonix offers all the trappings and activities of a top Alpine holiday resort, including of course a cable car ride to Aiguille du Midi, the gateway to the high Alps at a height of 3,842 m offering 360 degree views of the Alps. Overnight at Chamonix. Day 4: Chamonix Indulge in adventure sports like paragliding and white-water rafting or head out on one of the 160 different hiking options in this stunning part of the Alps. There are 350km worth of mapped trails so you have unlimited options that take you to huge glaciers, alpine lakes and awe-inspiring mountain views. Overnight at Chamonix. Day 5: Chamonix – Interlaken Head to Interlaken today and once there, spend time exploring the picturesque town or getting an adrenalin high from one of the many adventure sports available here like Paragliding, Canyoning and so on. Overnight at Interlaken. Day 6: Interlaken Today proceed for Jungfraujoch Excursion, a major highlight of the Swiss Alps. Spend time at the peak, being spell-bound by the mountain vistas and snow all around. On your way down, you have several exciting and picturesque hiking options. So, take your time and truly experience nature on a leisurely hike. Overnight at Interlaken. Day 7: Interlaken Another panoramic peak beckons you - Schilthorn, with its unbeatable 360 degree views of surrounding snow-covered mountains. You have the option on your way down from Schilthorn, instead of cable-car, to hike down the beautiful countryside on well-maintained walking paths in the Murren region. Paragliding, sky-diving and river-rafting activities are also available. Overnight at Interlaken. Day 8: Interlaken – Lucerne You will be heading to Lucerne today by one of Switzerland’s most scenic rail journeys, the Golden Pass Train. Once you are in Lucerne, in the evening you can go for a beautiful sightseeing cruise on Lake Lucerne surrounded by majestic mountain peaks, forests and meadows. Overnight at Lucerne. Day 9: Lucerne Today, visit the famous Mount Titlis which still surpasses the highest of expectations, so glorious is the panorama of nature at the top of this alpine peak. Not only that, there are also several fun snow activities at Titlis. Overnight at Lucerne. Day 10: Lucerne – Lake Como Today proceed by train to Lake Como, one of Italy’s most spectacular lakeside destinations, located at the foothills of the Rhaetian Alps, close to the Swiss border. Spend the day soaking up the Italian charms of Lake Como’s idyllic towns and villages like Bellaggio, Varenna and Menaggio. Overnight at Lake Como. Day 11: Lake Como Spend the day at leisure, exploring Lake Como on your own, its desirability as a location evident from the luxurious villas dotting the lake’s shores and the luxurious yachts sailing on it. Spend time at the cafes and restaurants from which you can savour the great food, the weather and the landscapes. Take a lake cruise, ride up the funicular to Brunate for awesome views or just spend a lazy day in charming Bellaggio. Overnight at Lake Como. Day 12: Lake Como – Florence Proceed to Florence by train in the morning. Florence is one of Italy’s prettiest cities, steeped in history, with its grand old plazas and cathedrals and overall renaissance charm. Walking is possibly the best way to explore the charms of Florence, which you can do either through guided walking tours or on your own or you can opt for the convenience of cool Segway tours. Overnight at Florence. Day 13: Florence Experience the Tuscany on a Full Day tour. This tour will take you to the lush Tuscan countryside with its picture-perfect rolling hills and vineyards, the charming medieval village of San Gimignano and the iconic Leaning Tower of Pisa. It’s a great full day tour that gives you a flavour of all that this famous region of Italy has to offer. Overnight at Florence. Day 14: Florence Spend the day exploring Florence on your own or with a guided city tour and soak in the culture of Italy. For a bit of adventure, you can also alternatively go for a scenic guided hike to the charming old coastal villages of Cinque Terre. Overnight at Florence. Day 15: Florence – Naples – Capri Your next destination is the idyllic island of Capri. This stunning island with its soaring cliffs, offers spectacular panoramic views of the Mediterranean and is not surprisingly one of the favourite holiday spots in Italy. Capri has several awe-inspiring sights which you can witness from places such as Mount Solaro and Villa San Michele. Overnight at Capri. Day 16: Capri Soak in the beauty of Capri, continuing with your sightseeing. Enjoy Italy’s delicious cuisine from Capri’s cafes and restaurants-with-a-view and also indulge in some designer shopping in the chic town centre. Take short hikes or possibly a boat ride to the Faraglioni rocks or the surreal boat ride into the Blue Grotto. Overnight at Capri. Day 17: Capri Enjoy the day at leisure. You also have the option to take a ferry to Positano and proceed on a road-trip along the famous Amalfi Coast. Visit Ravello’s gardens & villas, which are perched along high cliffs and offer beautiful ocean views. Overnight at Capri. Day 18: Capri – Naples – Rome Travel back to Rome for your final day in Italy. In the evening, go for the Rome by Night Tour, which takes you to the key attractions of Rome like the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain and many more, all beautifully illuminated at night.
